Frank Zappa

The below are a few interesting quotes from Frank Zappa, a US musician, singer, & songwriter.

“Rock journalism is people who can’t write interviewing people who can’t talk for people who can’t read” (Frank Zappa)

“Art is making something out of nothing and selling it.” (Frank Zappa)

“I think it is good that books still exist, but they do make me sleepy.” (Frank Zappa)

“Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible.” (Frank Zappa)

Why use quotations?
This can give your work a touch of sparkle. It can help express what you are trying to say or even add to what you are saying. Quotes are interesting, sometimes funny, and sometimes hard to figure out but always enjoyable. Finding and using the perfect quote in the perfect situation or setup can put some spark in anyone’s work.

Every Bunch of Flowers

For every bunch of flowers there is a reason, agenda or meaning behind it.

Just think about it...when you go to buy someone flowers you go for a reason, you know that there is a certain kind that you can buy for the occasion and certain ones that is off the list.

Reasons behind that bunch of flowers:
1.Your in trouble and has to make up big time
2.You would genuinely like to treat someone
3.Tell a friend that they are special
4.Someone has died
5.You love someone
6.For someone’s birthday
7.Valentines day
8.Mother’s day
9.Your are trying to score points
10.You have been caught out
11.Someone being ill
12. …

And the list goes on…why do you buy flowers and what is your reasons??

What motivates me…

What motivates me…a pat on the back and recognition for a job well done.

What motivates me even more…God’s love and presence, my family’s love and support in what I do, my friend’s motivation and loyalty.

What can help to motivate me…as I am a people’s person, an outside perspective, encouragement and support from my friends and family and especially if I can see I have made my parents proud.

People with a passion motivate me, the positive way in which they approach life and how they react in situations and what decisions they make and why.
When you learn from your mistakes it is less difficult to stand up and try again.

It is so easy to discourage someone, but a great challenge to encourage, motivate and support people as we all have our own issues. If all of us can just stand together and help one another achieve our dreams and goals, just think what a wonderful world we could live in.

OR am I dreaming out loud now? Is this possible in this world that we are living in? What do you think; can we still motivate each other?

The Next Phase in Life

In less than two months time we are entering a new phase in life, studies for most of us are over, the student and laid back life is something of the past. 9-5 office hours will become our future, financial decisions and grocery shopping will become a norm…we will be thrown into the big bad world and it depends on each of us what we make of it.

Scary…very, very scary but what an exiting time lying ahead, making the choice of what is next, what work I want to do and where I want to be in the next few years time. Each decision that I make from now on plays a major role in my future and what success I achieve in life one day.

But this is all part of life, entering and finish-off phases and memories. And with a heavy beat in my heart and a hundred butterflies in my stomach, I can say…I can’t wait for the next phase to start. So bring it on, I’m ready!

Personal Autonomy

Personal Autonomy is defined as, “Self-directing freedom and especially moral independence. An ethical principle holds that the autonomy of persons ought to be respected.” (find-health-articles: 2009)

Personal Autonomy refers to independence, self-sufficiency and self-determination. This all coming down to the decisions you make and actions you take on how to live your life and who you are and become. It is important that a person is who they want to be, that they stand up and express what they belief in, how they feel and share their opinions. Being all this and more makes you the individual standing out in a crowd. No one wants to be ordinary, everyone strives to be extraordinary and this is your place to start shining, with the world as your stage.

“If you believe that emotional and psychological problems come about because of disturbance to the person's autonomy, that is disturbances to their ability to be Self Determining, then clearly healing which does not respect a person's autonomy is not healing at all. It is more to do with control, and when we respect a person's autonomy the individual themselves must be allowed to be in charge of their own life. Help then, which leads to healing must have as its basic premise, respect for the autonomy of the person. (creative-personal-growth: 2009)

The joys of living on your own…or so everyone thinks

So you wish you get to that stage of life where you can finally move out of the house and live all by yourself…I got a surprise for you…its not all fun and games as you might think.

When living at home you take a lot for granted, believe me when I say this. There is always milk and bread, you never get to a dirty bathroom or kitchen and your clothes are always clean…and the most important luxury, there is always a deliciously cooked dinner at night, but when you live on your own you realize with a shock that managing all that, work and your studies…living on your own sucks! It’s all about 2 minute noodles, un-ironed clothes and forever cleaning up and washing dishes. Where are you mom?!

Getting hit by the real world, managing your time not only between work and studying but also managing your house and all the chores, one start to appreciating what have always been taken for granted.
